Hanwell Father Murderer Accused

A man has been remanded in custody to stand trial for the murder of a young father from Hanwell.

Colin Welsh, 40, of no fixed abode, appeared at south Western Magistrates' Court yesterday accused of murdering Elliot Guy after a party in Tufnell Park in July.

Hanwell Fundraiser Planned

A murder mystery fundraiser for Ealing MS will be held in Hanwell in November.

The event will take place at St Thomas' Church Hall, Boston Manor Road on Saturday, November 29, at 7.30pm.

A local amateur dramatics group has volunteered to perform on the night and attendees are urged to dig deep.
Anyone who wants to attend should contact Cara Williams at blindedfish@hotmail.com.

Consultation Proves A Success

More than 1,500 people have responded to a consultation over the current and future use of Hanwell Community Centre.

Ealing Council issued questionnaires to residents over use of the site and more are expected to be returned before the deadline on Friday.

Hanwell Paramedic Awarded

A man who has been saving lives in the capital for over two decades has been awarded the Queen's Medal for Long Service and Good Conduct.

Hanwell paramedic Tim Wilkinson (42) was presented with his certificate and medal at a ceremony in Westminster on Thursday September 11.

A WOMAN has blasted First Great Western (FGW) over how it has managed plans to implement Oyster Cards at West Ealing station.

Thalia Reid contacted the Gazette expressing anger at the rail operator's "shambolic running" of the station in Drayton Green Road.
