Is your doc a hero?

Tell us about your unsung heroes working at the National Health Service and they could attend a top award ceremony in London this year.

Write to the Gazette with your nominations of doctors, nurses, administrators or a porter, including agency staff, and say why you think they have gone beyond the call of duty.

We will highlight their story in the Gazette and put them forward for a nationwide scheme celebrating the work organised by the NHS.

The ceremony is to mark the 60th birthday of the health service this year.

The deadline for nominations is Thursday, October 16. For more information, visit the website www.nhschampions.org.uk.

Winners will be announced at the NHS Champions awards ceremony which will take place in London in December.
