Hanwell Death Court Hearing

A man died in Hanwell after being knocked to the ground and run over by a teenager, a court heard this week.

Lesley Mortimer, 48, was a regular at the White Hart in Greenford Avenue near his home, and died from multiple injuries at Ealing Hospital following the incident on Friday July 13 last year.


Residents Oppose Planning Application

Disgruntled residents in Hanwell are up in arms over a planning application which they say will spoil an area and create traffic chaos.

Developer Frendcastle has submitted a proposal at the site of the Bookers warehouse in Trumpers Way for more than 121 homes - 72 private and 49 affordable - in three residential buildings.

Hanwell Meeting Announced

HANWELL Steering Group will hold its next meeting on October 28.

The group offers a chance for residents' organisations. conservation groups and local businesses to discuss issues and raise their concerns.

Elthorne Ward Forum A 'Success'

The first ward forum for Elthorne was hailed as a success on Monday night.

The forum, held at Elthorne Park High School, drew about 30 attendees who discussed the best ways to spend £40,000 on improvements to the area.

Richer Sounds Relocates

RICHER Sounds in West Ealing is relocating to a new address in Chiswick.

A spokesperson for the hi-fi chain said the lease on the existing stire was about to expire and they had got a better deal elsewhere.
