A builder has been chosen to restore a historic public building and create new facilities for the community.
Durkan will transform Hanwell Community Centre in a ã2.2 million project which includes urgent repairs to the grade II listed building and the creation of a new learning and development centre.
More than 600 people visited an exhibition staged in West Ealing to explore Islam and connect people of different faiths and beliefs.
The three day show at West London Islamic Centre in Brownlow Road included a comprehensive history of the religion, ancient artefacts, transcriptions of the Quran from around the globe and information about how the Muslim world has influenced science, technology and literature.
