Hanwell Priest's Calling For Others

A Hanwell priest has been appointed as the vocations director for the Diocese of Westminster.

Father Richard Nesbitt, who was ordained in June 2007, is currently serving as assistant priest in the Parish of Our Lady and St Joseph.

Man Treated after West Ealing Fire

A man was rescued by firefighters and five people were evacuated from a block of flats after a blaze started in the early hours of Thursday morning.

A CHARITY in Hanwell has been awarded a plot of allotments in a bid to encourage people to get greener fingers.

British Waterways donated over 2,000 sq m of land alongside the Grand Union Canal to The Charity of William Hobbayne, as part of an initiative to encourage first-time allotment holders.

A presentation on the nature and implications of environmental changes affecting the world with reference to the Christian response will be given on Sunday September 20.

Restaurant for waste blunder

A restauranteur has been hauled to court and ordered to pay out more than £1,300 for failing to produce evidence that he was disposing of his business waste properly.

Mohammed Hosseiny, 31, who owns Persian Palace, Uxbridge Road, West Ealing, pleaded guilty to the offence at Ealing Magistrates' Court last month.
