Hanwell house fire

Ealing fire crew were called to a blaze at a house in Bridge Avenue, Hanwell, on Friday afternoon.

A fire is believed to have started in one of the three bedrooms of the terraced house and fire-fighters were called at 1:05pm to tackle the blaze.

Two people escaped the house and the property was made safe by 4:30pm.

Fire alarms were fitted but were not working and the brigade is urging people to check their alarms on a regular basis.
