An Ealing man has given up his job to take part in a mammoth bike ride to China all in the name of charity.

Tim Keeling, of Boston Manor Road, Hanwell, is hoping to cover 8,000 miles in six months to jointly raise £20,000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Plans are in the pipeline to temporarily use a West Ealing car park which is earmarked for demolition as an arts hub.

West Ealing Neighbours (WEN) have been in discussion with A2Dominion, co-developers of the Green Man Lane Estate, to use the top floor of Singapore Road multi-storey car park for arts projects during the summer.

St Mary's Church in Greenford Avenue, Hanwell, is looking to raise £126,000 to decorate the interior, repair and insulate the roof and install new windows.
