'Gun shots' heard in Hanwell

Armed police stormed the area around the William Hobbayne Centre in Hanwell on Monday evening after a member of the public reported hearing gun shots.

One eyewitness said he saw around 10 officers equipped with guns outside the centre in Lower Boston Road at 6.30pm.

But, the police who were called to investigate a fire arms incident found that the gun shots were actually fire-works which had been let off.
