Man suffers heart attack in Hanwell street

A man in his forties suffered a heart attack just after 5am this morning in a Hanwell street.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Church Road at the Junction of Uxbridge Road, to reports of a man aged 45-47 who had collapsed in the street.

Ambulance crews treated the man at the scene before he was taken to Ealing Hospital as a priority, suffering a cardiac arrest.

He is described as being in a critical condition and next of kin have been informed.

Church Road is cordoned off by Police tape and motorists and buses are being diverted onto Cherington Road.

A police spokesman, said: "At approximately 5.20am police were called by London Ambulance Service to reports of a man collapsed in the road in Church Road, junction with Uxbridge Road, Hanwell.

"The man, aged 47 years, was taken to a West London hospital for treatment.

"The circumstances of how he came to be injured are under investigation by Ealing CID.

An ambulance spokeswoman said: "We were called at just after 5am to reports of a person taken unwell.

"We sent one single responder in a car and an ambulance crew to the scene and our staff treated a 45-year-old man who was taken as a priority to Ealing Hospital and the patient was in cardiac arrest."
