West Ealing footbridge to receive new lights

Posted by Paloma Kubiak on Sep 2, 10 04:49 PM in Local Authority

A poorly lit footbridge is to receive new lighting which is expected to be installed by late October.

Network Rail has given Ealing Council the go-ahead to replace the lighting on Jacob's Ladder, a footbridge linking Felix Road with Manor Road/Drayton Green, over the railway lines.

Currently, only three lights work and are kept on all day but the five new lights will work only at night.

We'd like to hear from you.

Jacob's ladder was never a well light
location. even when i was a litle gutter snipe some 50+ years ago it needed better illumination. full marks to the borough for making it more safer
