A telephone watchdog part of Ofcom has assured that a postal scam threatening to leave residents £315 out of pocket no longer poses a risk.

Phonepay Plus, the regulator of premium rate telephone services in the UK and an agency of Ofcom, said it shut down the company behind the scam in 2005.

POLICE are hunting for a suspected rapist after a man was attacked in Dean Gardens early this morning.

Police tape was still in place at 9am this morning after reports of a 38-year-old man being raped in the park, just off Uxbridge Road, in West Ealing, at about 5am on Wednesday (19).
