The Hanwell Carnival organisers are looking for people interested in taking part in the procession for the very special 50th jubilee taking place on June 19th.

The procession will pass through the centre of Hanwell and people are urged to get in touch for the possibility to publicise their club, group or business.

A MURDER mystery evening for charity will be taking place at St Thomas Church Hall in Hanwell next Saturday (February 27).

There will be a fish and chip supper and a bar and people can take part on teams of six or eight.

Energetic youngsters are invited to have fun, make new friends and keep fit at a seven-a-side weekend football league.

Community activists say Hanwell town centre will go down the pan after planning permission was granted to remove seating and a public toilet from the Lidl forecourt.

As part of a re-design of the forecourt on the Uxbridge Road, the public toilet which has never been opened, will be demolished and the shoe-shaped seating replaced with trees and landscaping to create a 'town square' feel.

The Hanwell carnival which is due to celebrate its 50th anniversary next year is calling former carnival queens and princesses to get in touch.

In preparation for the golden jubilee, the organisers wish to contact all the girls who took part stretching back to the 60s.
