A man has been charged with the murder of a 59-year-old woman who was stabbed to death in the early hours of Tuesday morning (13).

The victim, who has not yet been formally named, was found stabbed at a property in Target House, Sherwood Close, West Ealing, at about 1.30am.

A SHOPKEEPER who lost about £200,000 worth of electronic goods when his business was looted in the riots has promised to donate everything recovered by police to people less fortunate than himself.

Brij Sehgal, 80, owner of Seba Electronics in West Ealing Broadway, said: "I'll check what I get back and then give it to senior citizens and people less fortunate than myself. I'm a happy man. I like to share that."

A man, believed to be in his 20s, was found with a bloody lip after a street brawl on Monday night.

Another man helped the victim fight off the male attacker at about 7pm near the Post Office in Uxbridge Road. He has since been released from hospital.

A 64-year-old pedestrian was knocked down at a dangerous crossing in West Ealing today.

A telephone watchdog part of Ofcom has assured that a postal scam threatening to leave residents £315 out of pocket no longer poses a risk.

Phonepay Plus, the regulator of premium rate telephone services in the UK and an agency of Ofcom, said it shut down the company behind the scam in 2005.

All were arrested in connection with the looting of Seba Electronics, in Uxbridge Road, West Ealing, which was ransacked during the riots.

TWO TEENAGERS were shot in the legs, a man was fired at and a front door was blasted in a bizarre and dangerous night of gun attacks.
