EALING Police are opening their doors to the public on Sunday (02) for you to meet all the officers working hard to keep the borough safe.

All are welcome to the open day from 10am to 4pm at Ealing police station, in Uxbridge Road, and Walpole Park this weekend.

Youngsters organised a fun family day out to raise awareness of living in an environmentally friendly lifestyle and hundreds turned out for the event.

The Youth Task Force, a group of eight to 15-year-olds with the help of A2 Dominion's Community Involvement Team, held the event at Trailfinders Sports Club in Ealing on Saturday.

DISGRACED ex-cabinet minister turned prison reformer Jonathan Aitken will be coming to St Stephen's Church in West Ealing for a special event next month.

Mr Aitken, who served seven months in prison after being convicted of perjury in 1999, will be answering questions about his experiences in the prison system on Sunday September 12.

THE MASONIC Centre in West London is holding an open day this weekend on Saturday August 7 for anyone who wants to find out more about Freemasonry and Masonic activities.
